Here’s something to keep in mind: You set your example. You can influence students when you’re keen on the subject and show enthusiasm for it. You will often hear educators speak of being always learning, and that is what it’s about, maintaining a curiosity and interest for acquiring new knowledge. It’s important to ask “why” when you read or hear something, along with being eager to find out more regarding the subject or topics you’re teaching. It has been a while since I graduated from my university. That means that I must keep myself up to date in my field of study. This is done by continually seeking out new knowledge.

The drive to learn then leads to transformative learning experiences. There always will be students who are just trying to survive, but the majority of students will respond positively to being taught by someone who is passionate and eager to learn.
